Yogasleep Hushh Sound Machine Review: Lightweight Sleep Saver
We’ve taken the Yogasleep Hushh sound machine on flights, hotel stays and stroller naps. Here’s how it holds up, plus the quirks to know before traveling with it.

MinimizeWe bought the Yogasleep Hushh when we first learned that these sizes of white noise machines existed, and it has been in our diaper bag ever since. Could a sound machine the size of a hockey puck really drown out hallway doors and motorcycles outside our Airbnb window in Mexico? This one does.
It’s tiny, attaches to anything (crib, diaper bag, car seat) and gets us the dependable white noise that both our baby and our toddler expect, whether we’re camping out in grandparents’ guest rooms or hustling through airport delays.

Why it always comes with us
It’s the smallest travel-sized sound machine we’ve found that doesn’t have too many options and is simple to use. The sound quality is very good, considering its size. While there are smaller nano-sized sound machines we’ve also considered, the Yogasleep one is just dependable!
- Featherweight build: It slips into our travel tech pouches or clips onto the UPPAbaby Minu stroller without adding bulk. I’ve even hung it from a baby carrier for on-the-go naps, LOTS of times.
- Simple controls: Two buttons set the volume and one button turns it on and off. I can start it with one hand while juggling bags and a sleepy toddler.
- Surprisingly solid sound: I rate the audio quality an 8/10. It’s not hi-fi, but it masks hotel hallway noise better than most palm-sized competitors and doesn’t have the metallic hiss you get from cheaper models.
Battery and charging notes
Whenever we remember to charge it, we do, and we’ve rarely run into a time when it has died on us for that matter.
The rechargeable battery lasts about 10 hours on medium volume. That’s enough for overnight sleep if we top it off with a charge, during breakfast. Then, it’s ready for car naps on the go, or putting next to a Pack & Play travel crib.
We appreciate the USB-C port, so it shares cables with our phones, but I pack the cord because the run time can dip below a full 12-hour stretch. When we’re in flight mode, I leave it plugged into a power bank to avoid mid-nap shutoffs, so there are no surprises at 35,000 feet.
What I’d still tweak
Honestly and overall, this is a really good quality travel white noise machine. However:
- An auto-off timer might help for daytime naps, though we rarely use such a function in practicality.
- The flexible clip is handy, but it isn’t always a fit for one of our car seats.
- There’s no night-light option, so if you want a glow feature you’ll want to bump up to the Hushh+.
Fast takeaways
- Lightweight, compact design lives in our diaper bag without hogging space. We keep it in a packing cube for safe storing.
- Clip ring attaches to strollers, cribs and carriers for portable nap soundtracks.
- USB-C charging with ~10 hours of battery life at medium volume. It nails battery life to a tee.
- Reliable white noise that travels better than the no-name brands we tried first.
We keep recommending the Yogasleep Hushh in our lists of baby travel accessories for a reason. We typically recommend it first, as it was our original white noise choice for our daughter when she was a baby. Nowadays, would you believe we actually use it for ourselves? It’s the perfect nighttime buddy for our kids and for us as well.
