LeSportSac Everyday Belt Bag Review: Lightweight Fanny Pack for Global Trips

I’ve carried the LeSportSac Everyday Belt Bag from Guatemala to Mexico and countless NYC outings. Here’s why it’s still my lightweight go-to.

MinimizeI bought the LeSportSac Everyday Belt Bag back in 2019 and it’s followed me through airports, bike rides and two international trips.
It’s incredibly lightweight, has just the right amount of organization and somehow still looks brand new after years of use, even after being stuffed with souvenirs from Guatemala’s markets and snacks for our toddler on NYC subway rides.
Why it’s still in rotation
- Weightless nylon: The ripstop fabric barely registers on a luggage scale. I can pack it flat inside a backpack and forget it’s there until I need a quick grab-and-go bag.
- Two-pocket layout: A roomy main compartment fits a small camera, wallet and sunscreen, while the front pocket keeps chapstick and metro cards handy without digging around.
- Adjustable strap: The webbing straps expand far enough to wear it crossbody on bike rides or cinch down for a traditional waist carry, even over a light puffer.

How I use it in real life
- City travel: It’s my default bag for exploring places like Antigua and Mérida, keeping my essentials close without overheating my shoulder or clashing with a breezy dress.
- Flights: I pack it empty in my personal item, then load it up right before landing so I can move quickly through customs with my passport and stroller gate-check tag at the ready.
- Everyday errands: It’s an easy grab for playground trips with my toddler when I only need phone-wallet-keys and a snack pouch.

What I’d tweak
- The strap hardware is plastic; metal would feel a touch more premium.
- It’s not waterproof, so I stash a zip bag inside when rain is in the forecast or we’re headed to a splash pad.
- Some limited-edition colors sell out fast, so snag your favorite when you see it.
Quick takeaways
- Ultra-light ripstop nylon keeps the bag packable and durable.
- Two zippered compartments organize daily essentials without bulk.
- Strap adjusts for waist or crossbody carry, even over layers.
- Perfect for travelers who want a low-profile fanny pack that’s easy to pack and easy to wear.
If you’re building a travel sling and fanny pack rotation, this is the ultralight staple I keep recommending to friends who want something carefree yet polished.
