Free Fly Women's All Day Pocket Legging Review: Ultra-Soft Travel Leggings
I always pack the Free Fly Women's All Day Pocket Leggings and these are some of the softest, most comfortable travel leggings I've worn. The phone pockets, super stretch and second-skin feeling are perfect for trips.

MinimizeI’ve owned the Free Fly Women’s All Day Pocket Legging since they came out. I had been looking for leggings with phone pockets (you don’t know how much you need a phone pocket until your leggings DON’T have phone pockets!) and started making these my defaults.
They’re a top pick in my list of the best travel pants for women because of that mix of softness and function.
They quickly become one of my go-to travel leggings for everything from long flights to active sightseeing days. The moment I first tried them on, I understood why people have such strong reactions to Free Fly’s fabric: it really is that soft and comfortable.
In this review, learn about how I grab them first when I create my vacation outfits and why they’re also excellent for hiking and activities.
What makes these leggings special
• Ultra-soft peached fabric that feels like a second skin without being too tight or restrictive. • Phone-sized pockets on both thighs that are deep enough to securely hold my phone, cash, cards or keys. • Moisture-wicking and UPF 50+ sun protection for active travel days in warm, humid or cool climates. • High-waisted style with smoothing coverage that flatters my legs and middle, with a reinforced design.

Perfect for travel days
I wore these leggings on a flight from NYC to Vancouver, and they were outrageously comfortable the entire time. The “barely there” feel of the fabric meant I could sit for hours without any pinching or pulling, and the high waistband stayed in place without rolling down.
For styling, I have worn them with tight shirts, cropped shirts and loose shirts. They’re leggings, so of course, there are lots of ways to wear tops that suit the whole look, but the reinforced high waist makes me feel put-together no matter what I choose.
The phone pockets are a game-changer for travel. I won’t wear travel pants that don’t have pockets because I need to have my phone close and secure at all times. These pockets are positioned perfectly on the thighs and are deep enough that I never worry about my phone falling out, even when I’m walking around or sitting down.
I’ve gotten so used to the phone pocket locations that when I’m wearing other leggings, I still reach for my phone in the spot where my Free Fly leggings have the phone pockets at the thighs.

Quality and fit
The leggings fit perfectly the first time I slid them on - they weren’t too long, weren’t too tight, and made me feel comfortable and confident. I would call them true to size, but these days, with some XS items being big on me, you could call them on the small and snug side.
If you feel like your hips may be in between sizes, I would size up. These leggings run tight for sure.
The 4-way stretch gives me freedom of movement, which is perfect for everything from yoga classes to walking tours, afternoon hikes and squatting down to play with my kids.
The matte finish and minimal-seam design make them look polished enough to wear out to dinner, as long as I pair a decent top and jean jacket or statement blazer with some nice shoes like boots or flats.
The moisture-wicking properties keep me dry during active adventures, especially in humid climates like the west coast of Canada, or Colombia, where I wore them in a lot of the photos featured in this review. I’ve put them through everything from sweaty sightseeing days to long travel days, and they’ve held up beautifully.

Quick takeaways
- These leggings are incredibly soft and comfortable for all-day wear, and long days in transit.
- The phone pockets are perfectly positioned and secure enough for active use.
- The moisture-wicking fabric and UPF 50+ protection make them ideal for warm-weather travel, as well as humid climates.
- The high-waisted design provides smoothing coverage in my middle without feeling restrictive.
- They’re versatile enough for everything from flights to yoga to sightseeing.
- Size up if you think your hips might put you in between sizes. They are a tight and snug style all over, including the ankles.

Overall, I am a little obsessed with these leggings and they’ll be coming on more trips with me in the future. They’re up there with my lululemon Align leggings in terms of comfort and quality, and I think that says a lot.
If you’re looking for travel leggings that combine comfort, handy pockets and style, the Free Fly Women’s All Day Pocket Legging should definitely be on your list.
