I’ve been living in the Pladra Women’s Jenner Sherpa Fleece since the weather turned chilly. It doesn’t even go back in my closet anymore because I’m wearing it constantly in fall and winter. It just hangs out near where I get dressed in the morning, or with my jackets, so I can quickly pull it on over anything to dash out of the house.
What I love about this fleece is that it’s a hybrid of a few things I adore. It’s a fleece, but it reminds me of that teddy material that’s used in so many coats these days. It’s a half-zip style that feels both like a sweater and a jacket, which honestly makes it perfect for those in-between weather days.
In this review, I discuss what it’s like to wear it and how it fits. Let’s get started!
The fit (oversized but not overwhelming!)
How does it fit? I ordered an XS, and it’s actually pretty oversized. It’s the look though, it’s supposed to be oversized. I’m 5’2” and 110 lbs for reference. For most brands I wear, I find that I’m either a true XS, or I’m an extra-small person wearing XS items that run big. It’s a struggle.
I will say, though, it’s not an “uncomfortable” type of oversizing for the Jenner Sherpa Fleece. I wear this and I’m not swallowed up by the sleeves, nor the length. Both feel good and undeniably cozy. The relaxed fit hits right at the waist, which works perfectly for layering over tank tops or long-sleeve tees.

When I wear it with high-waisted jeans, I of course do not tuck it in, but I like the full look and it’s casual. It is a perfect fit for having space and a range of movement when I’m outdoorsing.
The half-zip front closure is actually longer than other half-zips I own, like my Cotopaxi half zip. The Cotopaxi half zip is a size too small, so that that for what it’s worth. I got them at the same time, so it’s easy to compare the two.
The Jenner Sherpa is way more oversized and relaxed, rather than fitted and straight, so it’s more of a loose feel. It’s convenient, though, because I can pull it over my head and not tussle up my hair or glasses!

In this video review, I’m walking around outside in 49 degrees on a fall morning, talking about how I’m wearing and styling my Jenner Sherpa Fleece, as well as how it fits with some jeans on.
Heavyweight warmth with multiple fleece layers
This is a heavyweight fleece. It feels even heavier and sturdier with more thickness than my North Face fleece jacket, and I think that says a lot. The fabric is 100% recycled polyester Sherpa fleece bonded to a classic fleece backer at 420gsm, which creates two distinct layers.
The Sherpa Fleece keeps me warm with ONLY a tank top underneath when it’s 49 degrees outside (and this is exactly when and how I wore it one of the first times). I kid you not, this thing is that warm.

A few details that make it unique
What sets this pullover apart? The signature plaid flannel lining on the flap of the zippered chest pocket and around the collar adds a unique, stylish twist to an otherwise solid-colored sherpa fleece. It’s those little details that make this fleece feel very “Pladra”.

There’s also a zippered chest pocket and side hand pockets for storing essentials. The chest pocket also has a trim of signature Pladra plaid flannel, so it’s another nod to that “New England/Vermont” vibe that I mention in my review video.

One critique
I think one thing I’d change about it is that I’d set the side pockets a little more into the center of the fleece, because when I try to use the pockets, they’re set very much at the sides near the side seams.
This is a little less convenient than, say, a middle kangaroo reach-through pocket where my hands could meet each other. I think a center hands pocket would make this fleece perfect.

Key summary of points
In short, here are a few things to know about the Jenner Sherpa Fleece from Pladra:
- Perfect for layering: Works over shirts and even light sweatshirts
- Teddy-style material: Soft, cozy sherpa fleece that feels heavyweight and WARM!
- Oversized fit: Relaxed but not overwhelming, great for being your top layer
- Unique details: Plaid signature Pladra flannel accents on collar and chest pocket
- Versatile style: Half-zip design that works as both sweater and jacket, with a big head opening

Is it worth it?
I think it’s clear that I’m a fan and fully recommend the Jenner Sherpa Fleece because it doesn’t even go back in my closet during the colder months.
It’s worth it if you’re looking for a teddy-style, cozy, comfy, heavyweight fleece layer. It goes on easily, looks great and keeps you warm from the elements outside.
