Why we like it

The Quince All-Day Neoprene Belt Bag is a cute style, falling in line with the neoprene trend! I think it’s a cute style that can be dressed up or dressed down, and surprisingly, it packs in quite a few features that I appreciate for travel.

Through my use of it, during multiple trips, I’ve found that because it’s lightweight and never weighs me down, I actually do like it in the “waist pack” style. I wear it on my waist if I’m already walking around with a backpack, and if I use it on its own, like when I’m flying, I might use it in the crossbody style, so that I have my essentials right on my chest.

The color-plated zinc-alloy hardware and adjustable nylon webbed strap (36” fully extended) make it size-inclusive, and gender inclusive as well. It comes in a few colors at any given moment (I’ve seen that Quince sometimes discontinues a certain color, but then launches a new one) and I have it in black so that it matches literally everything I own.

The water-resistant neoprene material provides good protection from the elements, and the included dust bag makes it easy to store when it’s in my closet (I rotate a few belt bags depending on the occasion).

Probably my favorite part of it is the cute zipper aspect of the front-most pocket, and the fact that it’s really cute on the whole. I’ve worn it with dresses, casual wear like jeans and a T-shirt and I’ve taken it out and about in multiple seasons.

Considerations

The 1-liter capacity may be limiting for travelers who need to carry more essentials; in that case, I’d recommend stepping it up to a 2-liter belt bag (I have lots of suggestions, as you can see in the comparison page).

The neoprene material, while water-resistant, may not appeal to those who prefer traditional fabric construction. By that I mean that some people may think neoprene is a hot trend and will be going out of style. I’m not sure about that.

Then, the downside about the washing is that it shouldn’t be thrown in the washing machine: this fanny pack requires hand washing with cold water and laying flat to dry. Oh well: washing is one of the hardest things to nail for a lot of the bags I’ve owned.

The bag requires hand washing with cold water and laying flat to dry, which may be less convenient than machine washable options. The 36” strap length when fully extended may be too long for some users, and the limited color options could be restrictive for some users.

About Quince

Quince sells “affordable luxury,” and I’ve tried a lot of their travel products, from the best-selling hard shell carry-on luggage to the check-in size suitcase, the neoprene backpack, two different duffels and the Transit Tote as well. All have thoughtful features that add up to make a good travel bag, and all their products are style-forward. I like shopping from Quince because their website is easy to use, and I don’t have to think twice about if something is going to look good or not: everything from Quince looks good. I would not be saying this if it were not true!

Quince tends to emphasize sustainability, through ethical practices, using recycled materials and more.
