We went for a combination of two very different and opposite landscapes in this halfhalf, namely a geyser erupting in Iceland on Dan’s road trip there and a dry African plain with a pond and a bunch of livestock.

Dan took his photo in Strokkur during his solo trip in Iceland, where he drove on the Golden Circle route for a week. I actually took the South Africa shot at a rest stop with a bunch of restaurants (and this awesome view out the back) off the highway while being driven from Kruger National Park back to Johannesburg after a 3-day safari. Now you know the whole behind-the-scene story!
